Reedcutters’ cabins

The Reedcutters’ Village has six 8-bed cabins, one 6-bed cabin and one 4-bed cabin. In six of the huts, there are four bunks (eight beds). Each cabin has space to stow your bags and to hang waterproofs. Both the 6-bed and 4-bed cabins can be divided into two separate rooms, suitable for group leaders. These cabins are accessible at both ends.

Facilities

A marquee provides a communal area for groups within the Reedcutters’ Village with tables and benches. Additionally, a fully equipped dryshelter with running cold water, fridge/freezer, gas hobs and electricity provides the well needed comfort required when glamping! We offer both catered and self-catered packages with access to the equipped dry shelter for those choosing to cater for themselves.

Please note that groups need to bring sleeping bags and pillows in addition to the usual outdoors activity kit list.

Toilets and showers

There are toilets, showers and laundry facilities located close to the Reedcutters’ Village. There is also a portaloo located within the Reedcutters’ Village boundary for emergency and overnight use. 

Extras

The Reedcutters’ Village has altar fires to use and access to a woodstore, we ask for a small charitable donation for all wood used.

Additionally, a limited supply of camping equipment is available to hire such as pots, pans and cooking utensils.

For guests being catered for by Hautbois activity centre, meals will be served from the dining marquee, leaving your marquee free for participant use throughout the day.
