General Public Breaks & Camping

Hautbois Activity Centre is open to the general public for family and friend groups.  With pre-bookable, instructor-led on-site activities and 28 acres to explore, you can be assured everyone will have a great time.

Hautbois House

We do occasionally let to the general public for family and friend breaks. With 6 comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms, sleeping up to a total of 31 guests in a combination of single beds and bunk beds (21 using single beds and bottom bunks only). Additionally, the first floor is accessible by lift where there is a wheelchair accessible bedroom with an en-suite wet room.

On the ground floor there is a comfortable sitting room with smart TV, a common room and a spacious dining room.  Furthermore, the kitchen is equipped to professional catering standards and has dishwasher, large oven and ample fridge space.

In addition, the house has central heating, WiFi and ample parking.

The house is available for self-catering groups only – for full details contact the operations team.

Please note – staff members will be using the staff offices on the ground floor during office hours.

Lodge Cottage

Lodge Cottage sleeps up to 14 in four bedrooms, across two floors and with a combination of single-beds, bunk-beds and a good quality fold-out bed.

Furthermore, the ground floor has a comfortable sitting room with TV, a dining room and an equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, etc. There are also 2 shower rooms and a bathroom plus a separate WC.

It has central heating, WiFi, parking and is self-contained.  It is ideal as a base to explore Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

The Reedcutters’ Village

The Reedcutters’ Village has six 8-bed cabins, one 6-bed cabin and one 4-bed. The village is intended to fill the gap somewhere between staying in the house and camping – more comfortable than staying under canvas but more exciting than staying in the house.

Both the 6-bed and 4-bed cabins have a dividing wall and interconnecting door, particularly ideal for families with small children. There are four bunks (eight beds) in the standard cabins with space to stow your items and to hang waterproofs.

The cabins can occasionally be booked for general public groups on a self-catered basis and bring your own camp-catering equipment or you can use our shared equipped dryshelter with gas burners, water boiler, fridge/freezer and sink.

Groups need to bring sleeping bags and pillows, mattresses are provided. Shower and WC facilities are provided nearby.

Camping

We are also offering family and friend camping on our beautifully kept campsites. Numbers on site are limited. Shower and WC facilities are provided nearby.

Adventure activities

Whilst staying on-site you will also receive 10% off all activity sessions booked ahead of your arrival. We have pencilled some sessions in which can be found on our online booking portal.
