Frequently asked questions:
Day groups:
This event is open to Brownies on a residential basis only. After evaluating the possibility of having Rainbows visiting the event for the day, we realise it would not be appropriate due to the nature of the event. However, we are hosting alternative events specific to those age groups – so keep your eyes peeled!
Young leaders:
Young leaders are welcome to join this event in a leader capacity. They will not be counted towards the event ratios above but will be treated as a leader whilst at the event, meaning they will not be taking part in activities with the girls. The leader cost will apply.
Going Away With Licence:
We are currently recruiting our volunteer team and will be enlisting volunteers with modules 1-8 of Going Away With to cover the event. However, if you hold the correct modules and are happy to cover other units, then please do let us know – we would greatly appreciate the offer!
Travel & parking:
Travel is not included in the ticket cost. We encourage car sharing, public transport and coach drop-off where possible to reduce the volume of traffic. For anyone looking to park during the event, we will issue you with a parking permit upon arrival for you to display on your dashboard. There will be an area for those being dropped off by parents/carers and any coaches will be allocated a drop-off/collection slot and will be required to vacate site as soon as drop-off/collection has been completed.
We are looking into running a shuttle bus from Norwich train station and bus station – please contact us directly to express interest and for further information. We are hopeful that we will receive funding but if unsuccessful, this service may be an additional cost.
Arrival and departure times:
Gates will be open from 10am on arrival day and the event will finish at 3.30pm on day of departure.
Accommodation:
Hautbois House, Patteson Lodge, Reedcutters’ Village and camping will all be available to units.

Once deposits have been paid, you will be contacted asking your preference of accommodation. Accommodation will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis in order of the bookings. Accommodation will be confirmed by Friday 31st January 2026 at the latest.
Catering:
Ticket prices include all meals throughout the event. Catering will begin with an evening meal on day of arrival and finish with lunch on departure day. You will be required to bring lunch on day of arrival. Meals will be served as canteen style and meal times will be provided with your welcome pack. All pre-booked dietary requirements will be catered for for the event duration.
Activity sessions:
Attendees will be split into groups and will have multiple sessions across the event. Activities throughout your stay will be a selection of the following: stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, archery, climbing, zipwire, crate stacking, monkey climbing, low ropes, obstacle course and night trail. The weekend will also include craft sessions, circus skills and fairground stall games. Evening activities will include a campfire, silent disco, grass sledges and outdoor giant games! Your full programme will be included within your welcome pack.
The final day of the event will include a circus show.
Information Point & First Aid:
During the event, an information point will be open from 8am to 8pm with volunteers who will be able to answer questions and provide assistance. The on-call number will be provided in your welcome pack.
