Camping

Hautbois has 5 campsites with a total capacity of 350 situated in the 28 acres of the Hautbois estate bordering the River Bure. Facilities available to campers include toilets, showers, washer and dryer machines, fridges and freezers. Camp sites can be hired with or without flush toilets, and three are equipped with a dry shelter. Additional camping equipment is available for hire. Hautbois has three large campfire circles, woodland areas to explore and space to explore or run activities onsite.

CampingCampsites

House East
Bordering the private cut House East has a dry shelter, and cooking facilities which can be hired. The toilet block has four toilets and washing facilities, one of which is suitable for disabled users. Capacity 100

House West
Sharing the same field as House East, House West has its own toilet block with three toilets and washing facilities, one of which is suitable for disabled users. Capacity 100

Badger
A sheltered site bordered by trees, Badger has its own toilet block with three toilets and washing facilities, one of which is Camping 2suitable for disabled users. Capacity 40

Limepits Upper
Situated to the north side of the estate, Limepits Upper is partially ringed by trees. The site has its own toilet block with three toilets and washing facilities, one of which is suitable for disabled users. Capacity 50

Limepits Lower
This site is partially ringed by trees The site has its own toilet block with three toilets and washing facilities. Capacity 50

Facilities

Staff
Staff are available on site between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Please note no member of staff is resident in the House overnight. Group Leaders are responsible for their groups at all times.

Campfire CirclesCamping3
These can be booked at the Hautbois office; two are located adjacent to Limepits campsites and one between Badge and House West campsites. A plentiful source of wood is provided close by.

Cooking Fires
Each camp site has its own altar fireplace. Firewood is available for groups to use.

Showers
The shower block for all campers is located behind the main House; there are separate male and female showers with 4 cubicles and a dressing area in each.

Fridge Freezers
Each campsite has the shared use of a fridge freezer.

Washing and drying machines
These are located at the back of the Hautbois; tokens can be bought from reception.
