Well, it has been a little while since I last blogged, but things have been busy at Hautbois. We have gained our Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge which is a big achievement and will help when schools are looking at places to stay or do activities. Well done to Emma and Ian as I know they worked very hard putting the evidence together.
There is a new face in the office, Louise has started as the Bookings Assistant and is settling in really well. The office has been moved round more times than I can remember but they seem to like it now and it certainly is much friendlier in there now. Some of the shelves have been taken down which has left big holes, but I'm told they are decorating in January!
Another Rachael has joined us too, as maternity cover for Sonia in retail. Sonia leaves soon and they have been working closely handing over lots of information. Brittany is an addition to the team at Region Office and is maternity cover for Ali. I just have to keep putting the right names to faces!
I met lots of Trefoil Guild members and some Friends of Hautbois last week when they came for A Trefoil Christmas. They stayed in the house and took part in some crafts and sing-a-longs, as well as enjoying a Christmas Feast and a trip to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. They all said they had a great time and I hope we can welcome them back again next year.
The Santa's Biggest Brownie Adventures are the last guests at Hautbois, with four weekends in the run up to Christmas it has been a Christmas wonderland! They have had a party tea and trip on the Bure Valley Railway Santa Special, as well as making crafts to take away with them.
2012 is looking busy again, so I look forward to meeting lots of new people and old friends.
