26 girls from across Girlguiding Anglia enjoyed a Princess Pirate weekend at Hautbois at the end of June. They took part in all sorts of outdoor activities which seemed to involve getting wet and muddy - in fact the wetter and muddier they became the more they smiled!
Some of the rafts they built would not have helped them on their treasure hunts, but they had a fantastic time trying. The girls also made tiaras, glitzy eye patches, treasure chests and maps as well as pirate wallets and hats.
The weekend went very quickly and culminated in a grand treasure hunt around the grounds just before lunch on Sunday. Saturday's dessert included a wonderful treasure chest chocolate cake absolutely full of jewels (fruit) and with a chocolate starfish on top.
